Standard violin tuning rises in perfect fifths from G3 through D4 and A4 to E5. Each target is tied to its own measured string route and wooden tuning peg on the violin pegbox.
Cross tunings deliberately change those intervals to create sympathetic drones. Select a string or its peg to lock Auto mode before making a large pitch change.
